Plans & Limits
Version: 2026-11-02
This page is part of the SaysData Cloud Service Agreement. It sets each plan's Fees and Use Limitations.
| Free | Paid | |
|---|---|---|
| Price per user | No charge | CA$50 or US$50 per month (see Currency below). Taxes are extra. |
| Searches per user per month | 25 | 250 |
| Describe or query operations per user per month | 10 | 100 |
| Query responses shown in History | 48 hours | 60 days |
- Currency. Canadian dollars if your billing address is in Canada when you start paying for Paid seats, US dollars otherwise. It does not change while you pay for any Paid seat.
- Plans are per user. A user is on the Free plan unless they hold a Paid seat in your account: a seat on any plan on this page that has a price.
- Paid seats. Your account's administrators give Paid seats to members of your account and remove them. We may also, at no charge, give a user a Paid seat or raise or remove their limits, and end either at any time.
- Limits apply to each user separately in each account. Unused allowance does not carry over to the next month or pass to another user. A user's counts continue when their plan changes during a month.
- A search is a request to find datasets (currently the
search_datasetstool). - A describe or query operation is a request to describe a dataset or retrieve data from one (currently the
describe_dataset,distinct_values, andexecute_sqltools). - Feedback is never counted. Sending feedback (currently the
send_feedbacktool) is neither a search nor a describe or query operation, and you can send it even after reaching a monthly limit. - Saved queries are never counted. Saving, finding, and opening saved queries is neither a search nor a describe or query operation, and reaching a monthly limit does not stop them.
- What counts. A search or operation counts only when it succeeds, or when it fails because of the request itself: for example, invalid arguments, a dataset ID that does not exist, or a query our checks refuse until it is changed. It does not count when it fails because of SaysData, a data provider, or one of our technical limits, or when we cannot tell that the request caused the failure. While a search or operation is in progress, we may treat it as counted until it finishes.
- Counts reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
- Over the limit: when a user reaches a monthly limit, we may refuse their further searches or operations of that kind until the count resets or, on the Free plan, they are given a Paid seat. Going over a limit is not, on its own, a breach of the Agreement.
- History. Every plan shows your requests for 60 days. On the Free plan, a query's response is shown for its first 48 hours; it is kept for 60 days and shown again if the user gets a Paid seat in that account.
- Technical protections. Additional Terms §13 in the Cover Page covers our technical limits; our documentation describes the main ones at saysdata.com/docs/limits.
Changes to this page follow Additional Terms §8 in the Cover Page.
